The Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre officially opened to patients on Monday.

According to Alberta Health Services, there are more than 100 patient exam rooms, 160 inpatient unit beds, over 90 chemotherapy chairs, increased space for clinical trials, and 12 radiation vaults.

The new centre cost $1.4 billion to build and will help serve residents in southern Alberta including Strathmore, Chestermere, and Langdon.
