Prices at the pumps in the Foothills over the last few weeks have noticeably dropped.
The current price in High River is at $1.34.9 a litre while it's just a bit more in Okotoks at $1.419, excluding Costco.
High River has the lowest prices around compared to Nanton, Claresholm, Vulcan and Diamond Valley.
Gas Buddy's head of petroleum analysis Patrick De Haan in a release explains why.
“The national average price of gasoline has continued its decline over the last week, as expected, as oil prices have sunk due to Israel avoiding attacks on Iran’s oil infrastructure, and seasonal decreases in demand are pushing gasoline lower, as is normal for this time of year."
As far as the cheapest regular gasoline prices in Alberta go, you'll have to head to Edmonton where it's being sold between $1.25.9 to $1.27.9 a litre.
