Instead of throwing your pumpkins in the trash, you can donate them to a good cause.

From 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 1) there will be a red trailer parked next to the 104.5 More Country radio station where residents can leave their pumpkins.

Residents can place their old pumpkins in this red trailer.

The pumpkins for pigs program has been going on for several years and Stender says that they get about 100 pumpkins every year on average.

According to Stender, residents should remove paint, candles, and toothpicks from the pumpkins before donating them.

For those who can't drop off their pumpkins, they can visit the farm itself and deliver them straight to the pigs.
