Water 2.0 is set for Tuesday, November 5th in Nanton at the Community Hall.

The group is meeting to oppose the threat of open-pit coal mining on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

Bill Trafford, a 2021 coal policy committee member, is one of the five distinguished guest speakers who will be attending.

Musician and outspoken 6th generation Albertan, Corb Lund will be there along with former assistant deputy minister of energy David Luff, third generation rancher John Smith and biologist, principal and senior toxicologist/risk assessor Mandy Olsgard.

The event is hosted by the Chinook Water*Shed Crew and the Pekisko Group.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the event getting underway at 7:00 p.m.
