Holy Trinity Catholic School Division’s enrolment at the end of September 2024 was 21 students higher than the previous year, with a grand total of 2465 students in the division.
“It is this school division’s highest enrolment since at least September of 2012, and probably longer than that – that's just as far back as we have data,” said Curt Van Parys, Chief Financial Officer with Holy Trinity Catholic School Division (HTCSD).
He added that the number includes a spike in kindergarten enrolment across the division, as well as moderate increases at Christ the King School in Shaunavon.
While the Ministry of Education funds school divisions based on projected enrolment and adjusts funding in December for actual numbers reported at the end of September, Van Parys said they don’t anticipate any significant funding adjustments.
“All in all, very positive news for Holy Trinity, and we’re hopeful that the enrolment growth continues into the future.”
There are currently 1831 HTCSD students enrolled in Moose Jaw including their home-based students.
