It was a full day for police officers on duty in Altona on Saturday.
It all started early in the morning when officers were called to an intoxicated man causing a disturbance at a home. The man, however, had left before police arrived. Just before they were about to leave, however, officers noticed him walking back.
The 24-year-old was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in police cells until sober.
Police were then called to an attempted break and enter at a local store.
Extensive damage was noted to the front door of the business; however, the culprits did not gain entry. A lone male was captured on surveillance video, and police continue to investigate.
