UPDATE: South Perimeter Highway reopens after multi-vehicle collision

UPDATE: The south perimeter at St. Mary's Road has reopened following a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.

Previously:

A section of the south Perimeter Highway is closed Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision. 

The crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. As a result, the Perimeter Highway is closed in all directions at St. Mary's Road.  

***Traffic Advisory - Please be advised that the south Perimeter Hwy at St. Mary's Rd is currently closed in all directions as a result of a multiple vehicle MVC. Emergency crews are on scene.#Winnipeg #WpgTraffic #WpgTMC

Winnipeg police say emergency crews are on scene.

There is no word on injuries. 

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
