In a press release the RCMP is reminding motorists that with outdoor temperatures decreasing, be sure to clean any frost off the windows of your vehicle before travelling.
In the release, it is noted that the RCMP will be looking for motorists who have not taken the time to clear the frost and will help with this process. The officer will conduct a traffic stop of that vehicle, and as the officer is writing the ticket for driving a vehicle with an obstructed view, the vehicle will have an opportunity to warm up and melt that dangerous frost. And, if it has not melted by the time the officer has completed writing the ticket, you will be welcomed to exit the vehicle and scrape the frost from the windows before carrying on your way.
Everyone's safety is placed at risk when the driver of a vehicle does not have clear view in all directions.
