Between October 28 and November 4, 2024, the Kindersley RCMP responded to 36 calls for service, including a variety of incidents that highlight both safety concerns and seasonal reminders for residents.
Among the reported incidents, police received a complaint about a collision between a vehicle and a deer near Marengo; fortunately, no injuries were reported. Additionally, RCMP are investigating a reported threat made in Kindersley, and police responded to a false alarm at a local business. Officers also followed up on a report of a possible impaired driver in Kindersley but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
Another incident involved a report of overnight vehicle damage near Kindersley. Police also received a call about individuals allegedly attempting to break into a home; however, when officers arrived, they found no one on the scene, and there were no signs of property damage.
With the onset of winter, Kindersley RCMP urge residents to ensure their vehicles are winter-ready. This includes removing all snow from vehicle surfaces, including headlights, taillights, roofs, and windows. They advise checking weather forecasts for both starting points and destinations and to delay travel during storm warnings to ensure the safety of all drivers and first responders.
