The Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP detachments handled a range of incidents last week, responding to reports that included disturbances, thefts, and traffic-related complaints across the region.
Unity RCMP dealt with reports of disturbing the peace, a single-vehicle collision, property damage, and an intoxicated person in public, with some cases still under investigation. Wilkie RCMP investigated break-and-enter incidents, one of which led to multiple charges against a 34-year-old man, along with cases of harassment and theft. Macklin RCMP looked into a reported stolen vehicle and a suspicious person near a school. Authorities issued several roadside suspensions during traffic stops across the region.

Additional reports included two traffic complaints and a false alarm.
Wilkie Detachment
Wilkie RCMP faced similar cases, including two break-and-enter incidents—one involving a 34-year-old man with no fixed address, now facing charges of Break and Enter with Intent, Failing to Comply with Undertaking Conditions, and Assault with a Weapon. Other activities in the area included:
- Issuing a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop.
- Addressing complaints of harassment, which remains under investigation.
The detachment also responded to one false alarm.
