The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has issued a public alert for possible typhoid fever exposure linked to a Domino’s Pizza outlet in Martensville, located at 717 Centennial Dr. S. The SHA stated that individuals who consumed food from this location between October 11 and 19 may be at risk, although the chance of contracting typhoid is considered low.
Typhoid fever, a rare but serious illness, can present with symptoms like fever, headache, rash, constipation, diarrhea, and vomiting. Spread through contaminated food or water, typhoid fever is treatable with antibiotics. The SHA advises anyone who consumed food from this Domino's location during the specified dates to consult a healthcare professional or contact HealthLine 811.
