A man has been charged after break-ins at 17 Tim Hortons locations, including in High River.
The RCMP Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and the RCMP Regina General Investigation Section have arrested 25-year-old Joshua Elliot Moose after a five-month investigation into the string of Tim Hortons break-and-enters.
Moose, a resident of Medicine Hat, is suspected to have carried out the spree from June to October of this year.
Of the 17 break-ins, 12 were at Alberta locations, those being High River, Hanna, Brooks, Rocky Mountain House, Strathmore, Didsbury, Rocky View County, Drayton Valley Stettler, Vermillion, and two in Wetaskiwin.
Five Saskatchewan locations were targetted, with Maple Creek, Kindersley, Swift Current, and Indian Head reported to have had break-ins.
"Through the investigation, RCMP learned Moose was in White City, SK. On Oct. 31, 2024, after committing a break-and-enter, Moose was arrested outside a hotel in White City, SK. A search warrant was executed on Moose’s hotel room, vehicle, and apartment in Medicine Hat, which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cash, tools, and firearms," Southern Alberta RCMP said in a release.
Moose has been charged with, seven offences in Saskatchewan for break-and-enters to commit theft and possession of break-in tools. 31 charges were also laid in Alberta for break-and-enter to commit theft, possession of break-in tools, and unsafe storage of a firearm.
