It was a snowy night in Moose Jaw on Tuesday, with the city seeing a sprinkling of snow.

“We had a pretty quick moving system that developed in Alberta and tracked through Saskatchewan yesterday and brought some snow through parts of southern and southwestern Saskatchewan,” explained Shannon Moodie, meteorologist with Environment Canada.

“We did get a report of 2 cm in Kindersley over the Cypress Hills – at the higher elevation, they had a bit more – we're seeing about 12 cm of snow there yesterday.”

She added that they didn’t get an official report out of Moose Jaw but expected that around 2 cm was going to fall.

The system has now passed through the area, and Moodie said we’re in for a mild spell. “It looks like you’re going to get some really nice temperatures for Moose Jaw, looking at a high of 11 for Thursday and Friday.”

She added that they aren’t currently tracking any systems that could bring snow.
