Light Up High River, the Halloween edition, brought out hundreds of trick-or-treaters and they've all cast their votes.

From the scary to the spooktacular to the family-friendly ghosts, the bragging rights have now been decided.

In the residential half of the contest, we have a repeat winner.

The BONE YARD on 19th Street took top honours with all the bragging rights to go with it for the second consecutive year.

Sharon Remple, owner of the BONE YARD display, was very thankful on the Light Up High River Facebook page.

"Thank you everyone for voting for The Bone Yard. I was surprised that I won again this year, there are so many deserving participants in the contest that work just as hard as me to make Halloween exciting for the community. The Dollhouse on 5A Street SE came in second with Kathy and Chad Lambourn's 'Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice' display coming in third.

The other half of the contest was dedicated to Businesses that dressed up their storefronts and got into the spirit of the season.

Darlene Fernell with Fresh Air Furnace Cleaners cleaned up with business votes taking the #1 spot with 'Spooky Skeletons'.

'Rockin' at the Graveyard' by Look At That with Jo Merritt slid into second place as Sheena Small with Sheena's Sweets and Such's display of 'Nightmare Sweet Haunt! Inside and Out' came in third.

Organizers posted their thanks on their Facebook page.

"Please join us in exclaiming ghost outs, gasps, shrieks of terror for all of our entries. The detail and imagination in every entry made driving about High River a sight to see. And so many things that will continue to be seen in nightmares and dreams."
