Those looking to pick up a Christmas tree and support a good local cause are in luck. The Rotary Club of Moose Jaw Wakamow is gearing up for their annual Christmas Tree Sale, opening for business on November 22.

Located in the Moose Jaw Co-op food store parking lot, the Rotary Club anticipates another busy season as Moose Javians rush to get set up for the holidays.

“We hope to sell about 420 trees,” said Dave Bowler, Chairperson of Christmas Tree Sales.

“We usually sell out around December 10th, but we encourage people to get their trees early.”

The tree lot is open on weekdays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 5 p.m. with all proceeds going towards charities and programs supported by the Rotary Club.

Bowler was happy to announce that the price of trees will also be the same as last year, as they did not experience the same rise in procurement costs seen in years prior.

He also let it slip that there will be a special guest helping out at the tree lot this year.

“On November 30th, in the afternoon, Santa Claus comes and helps us sell trees. It’s a chance for people to get their picture with their tree and Santa Claus.”

“It’s usually a pretty popular time to go buy a tree.”

The Rotary Club of Moose Jaw Wakamow’s tree lot will be at 500 1st Avenue Northwest, operating from November 22 to December 18.
