The Christmas Market is just a few sleeps away now.
The Ultimate Christmas Market is coming up on Saturday, November 16 at the Highwood Centre in High River.
You'll want to bundle up the kids too for the sleigh rides through George Lane Park and bring some extra napkins for the Mini Donut food truck.
Heather Ross, with the Town of High River, says the kids should have a blast this year.
"We're going to have tonnes of crafts for the kids, we're going to have glitter tattoos, there's going to be cookie decorating, we're going to have wagon rides, we'll have photos with Santa indoors at the Highwood Centre. So, Santa will be on the premises from 5 until 8."
The sleigh rides go from 4 till 8 p.m.
Live carolers will also be singing some Christmas classics between 2 and 4 p.m.
A photo booth will also be set up from 2 until 5 p.m.
Ross was excited to share the news, too, that the event is essentially free.
"It's basically a free event for the community. There is a small donation for the cookie decorating for a non-for-profit organization but outside of that we're making it free for the community."
Something that's new this year is a way for kids and parents and local businesses to team up with the 'Reindeer Roundup'.
Ross explains "So, people can collect stamps from the different businesses throughout the downtown community and enter to win a prize. They can either drop it off at the Market, they can drop it off at Town Hall, or at any one of the participating businesses. They have from November 14 to the 20th to do that. And then on the 20th we'll draw for the prize and contact the winner."
Admission is free and the market opens at 2 p.m. and runs right until 8 p.m.
