Update: Foothills County had experienced a power outage this morning

Parts of Foothills County were experiencing a power outage earlier this morning.

As of 10:40 a.m., Fortis Alberta stated they were experiencing a widespread electrical outage in Foothills County.

The affected areas included Okotoks, west of Highway 2, the area surrounding Highway 2A, from Big Rock Trail to 306 Avenue East, and all surrounding areas.

Crew were dispatched, and at 11:43 a.m., power was back up to all those affected.

Fortis Alberta stated that the power went out due to faulty equipment.
