One driver has been charged following last week Monday's two-vehicle collision on the outskirts of Altona.

According to information provided by the Altona Police Service, the driver of a vehicle turning south off of Centre Ave. East sideswiped a south bound vehicle on Highway 30.
The driver of the first vehicle was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Failing to Proceed When Safe to Do So.
Police report there were no injuries in the incident.

Police received a call from a resident of Ontario concerned about a family member who had not been heard from in several days. Police attended the Altona address and confirmed all was fine.
Police were called to a local grocery store for a shoplifting complaint. Two suspects, an adult male and an adult female who are residents of the region, were identified. Charges are pending.
Nov 9
Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the southeast section of Altona. The suspect vehicle refused to stop and fled. Police initiated a pursuit, which was called off due to police learning whose vehicle it was. Subsequent investigations determined further information, and an adult female from Altona was arrested and charged on separate charges.
Police were called to Plum Coulee by EMS for a possible violent patient. Police attended and spoke to the adult male who confirmed he was agitated and required assistance. He advised he would voluntarily attend to the hospital with EMS.
