It is election day as Moose Jaw residents hit the polls to election a mayor and six city councillors.
The regular polls will be open today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
- Moose Jaw Golden Nugget Centre (250 Thatcher Dr. E.)
- Cosmo Senior Citizen Centre (235 Third Ave. N.E.)
- Minto United Church (1036 Seventh Ave. N.W.)
- Church of Our Lady (566 Vaughan St.)

Those eligible to vote must:
- Be a Canadian Citizen on the day of the election;
- Be 18 years of age on the day of the election;
- Have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day; and
- Have resided in the City of Moose Jaw for at least three (3) consecutive months preceding Election Day; or be the owner of assessable land in the City of Moose Jaw and have been so for at least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day.
- For the Public School Board, you must have resided in the school division or on land now in the school division for at least three (3) consecutive months preceding Election Day.
- For the Separate School Board, you must have resided in the school division or on land now in the school division for at least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day and be of the Roman Catholic Faith.
Voter registration forms can be downloaded and printed off on the City of Moose Jaw website. Voters can bring the complete form to the polling station to reduce wait times. However, you are asked to wait to sign the voter registration form until a poll clerk has received the form.
Voter ID will be required. The ID can be one government-issued identification that contains a photo with the name and addresses of the voter, or two pieces of ID that both show the name of the voter and at least one that has an address. A list of acceptable identification can be found here.
There are five candidates running for the mayor’s office. They are:

The City of Moose Jaw is providing free transit on election day. City transit regular routes will provide service at all four polling stations.
