Cavalry FC entered the history books on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 9) in a 2-1 victory over Forge FC to claim their first-ever North Star Cup.
Tobias Warschewski made a difference in the match, scoring a goal and an assist to lead the Cavalry to the promised land. Last season it was Cavalry losing after claiming the top seed in the CPL, this year roles were reversed with Forge FC holding the best record during the regular season but Cavalry winning the Grand Final.
This is just the beginning for the Foothills-based soccer team as head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. aims at becoming the first team to win the league and then win the North Star Cup.
