The Highwood Mustangs Senior Girl's volleyball took the Foothills Composite Eagles to five sets but came out on the losing end in a 3-2 game.

The first set was a back-and-forth tilt with a few lead changes, but the Falcons ultimately came out victors with a 25-22 set score.

Early on in the set, the game would be tied at nine a piece. The Mustangs would then take a 16-10 lead, but the Falcons made it even a little later on with a 19-19 score. The score would then be deadlocked again at 22-22, the Falcons however took the final three points in the set for a 1-0 lead.

The second set would see both teams in a deadlock again with a 7-7 score. The Falcons, however, took control in the set with a 25-16 win and held a 2-0 set lead over the Mustangs.

Set three is where the Mustangs would capture their first set victory in the contest. Even though Highwood was down 24-18, they didn't give up and scored eight unanswered points to take the set by a narrow margin of 26-24.

Highwood took the fourth set to tie the game at 2-2 after completing another comeback against the Falcons in the set. The Mustangs were down 10-4 early in the fourth set, and then down 16-12 but they rallied back to keep their bronze medal dream alive with a 25-21 fourth set final.

With the game now tied at 2-2, the next set was for the bronze medal.

Since it was a tiebreaker, the first team to score 15 would claim the bronze medal. Unfortunately for the Mustangs, they couldn't tie things up as they were behind on the scoreboard for the whole set.

The Falcons finished the tie-breaker with a 15-7 win to claim the bronze medal for their school.
