Now that autumn has fully settled in and with winter approaching, the Town of Diamond Valley won't be picking up compost as frequently.

As of November 6, the Town has moved their compost collection schedule to a bi-weekly rotation.

The Town decided to break up the compost collection, so that the Black Diamond side of town will have their compost picked up one week, then crews will go to the Turner Valley side of town the following week to collect their compost, and so on until the end of March.

Those in the Black Diamond side of town had their compost collected on November 6, whereas those in the Turner Valley side of town will have their compost collected this week.

This change happens because there is a reduced demand for compost bins outside of the main gardening season.
