Split the Pot lottery surpasses $500,000 as deadline approaches

The "Split the Pot" hospital lottery is nearing a close, and the pot has grown pretty hefty.

A total of 13 winners will split 50 per cent of the jackpot, which has reached nearly $550,000 as the deadline approaches.

The other half will be distributed among 30 healthcare foundations in Alberta, including the High River Health Foundation.

The pot will be split as follows:

• 1 winner will take home 60% of the prize payout
• 2 winners will equally split 20% of the prize payout
• 10 winners will equally split 20% of the prize payout

Winners will also have the opportunity to distribute their winning to a particular healthcare foundation or evenly among the 30 foundations.

The last day to purchase tickets is November 14, and they're available at splitthepot.ca
