Five drivers were suspended and their vehicles impounded by Morden police in the last week-and-a-half: all caught by officers on general patrol.
    
The first was pulled over because their vehicle's taillights were out, according to police. The department says a smell of liquor coming from the driver, who had a youth in the passenger seat, led them to fail a roadside screening test. They were issued a 90-day driving suspension, a 30-day vehicle impoundment and a $700 administrative penalty.

A second driver blew a warning on a roadside screening device during another traffic stop, and was issued a 72-hour driving suspension, a 3-day vehicle impoundment and a $400 administrative penalty.
    
A third failed the zero-blood alcohol restriction on their license and, as a result, was issued a 24-hour driving suspension and fined $203 dollars for failing to comply with a license restriction.
    
Another motorist was issued a 90-day driving suspension, a 30-day vehicle impoundment and a $700 administration penalty after failing a roadside screening test.
    
And finally, a driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension, a 3-day impoundment of their vehicle and a $400 administrative penalty after blowing a warning.
