Central Plains Cancer Services (CPCS) is teaming up with Tim Hortons for a Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, set to run from November 18th to 24th. The event will see proceeds from the Smile Cookie sales split 50/50 between CPCS and the Tim Hortons Camp Foundation.

During the week-long campaign, customers can purchase the iconic Smile Cookies at Tim Hortons locations in Portage la Prairie, including both the East End and Downtown locations. All funds raised will directly benefit local cancer services and youth programs, making it a sweet way to give back to the community.

Sharilyn Knox, with CPCS, shared that the organization has been busy spreading the word, with staff distributing pre-order forms to local businesses. Additionally, CPCS will be setting up a booth at the West End Tim Hortons location Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., where volunteers will help decorate cookies and engage with customers.

The event is also drawing support from local groups and officials, including the Portage la Prairie school division, and even members of the Portage la Prairie City Council.

"It's amazing to see so much community support," Knox said, noting that the event will become a highlight of this holiday season.

For those looking to get involved, the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign offers a delicious way to support two important causes. Whether ordering cookies for the office or donating to the cause, this initiative promises to bring joy to the community while making a meaningful impact.
