The Town of Okotoks has invited the public to attend the upcoming annual budget meeting.
Over the summer there was budget engagement with the public, where community members were able to share their thoughts on Town services levels.
The engagement helped the Town Council to understand which services the public felt were the most important services they should focus their 2025 budget on, and the feedback they received was used to help both council and the administration determine whether or not they needed to make any adjustments to the service levels under the 2025 budget.
Now, the Town has created a budget that they believe aligns with the community feedback they received and maintains service levels.
This budget also considers investing in local businesses.
The priority of the upcoming budget is to maintain the status quo for most services and make adjustments to several service levels that will save both residents and businesses some money.
Everyone in Okotoks is invited to attend the upcoming budget meeting on Tuesday, November 19 at 8 a.m., where council will deliberate the budget.
