A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged with fraud after an investigation ensued over a series of complaints about his business. On November 5, the Manitoba RCMP Cyber & Financial Crime Unit RCMP arrested Kurt Wittin after Headingley RCMP investigated multiple fraud allegations involving his company, Seventeen Pools Inc.

The investigation began in 2023 after customers across Canada and the United States reported paying for pool products that were never delivered.

Wittin faces nine counts of fraud, each involving amounts greater than $5,000. He has been released from custody under certain conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The RCMP believe there may be other victims or individuals with information who have not yet come forward. They’re encouraging anyone with details about Wittin or his businesses—Seventeen Pools Inc., Seventeen Pools, 204 Container Pools, or Kustom Container Builders—to contact their local RCMP detachment.
