A suspicious vehicle call in High River last week led to a police chase that ended with the use of spike strips, followed by an arrest.
Just before 11 p.m. on Nov. 6, officers with the High River RCMP went to check on a suspicious vehicle.
They had received a call from a member of the public saying the driver seemed to be lurking and scoping out parked vehicles.
When they attempted to stop the suspect he sped away, and the police later found the vehicle abandoned.
They continued to search for the suspect and soon received a report that a vehicle had just been stolen nearby.
Officers found the newly stolen vehicle some time later, with help from a Calgary Police HAWCS helicopter, and took chase.
The suspect was eventually stopped and arrested after a spike strip was deployed.
Charles Wadman, a 25- year-old man from Stavely, faces the following charges:

They also recommend not storing garage door openers in cars and double checking that vehicles and garages are locked.
