This week's Airdrie Techmation Thunder Spotlight belongs to Ethan Razon.

The Thunder only had one game last week when they took on the former league champs the Carstar Okotoks Bisons. Unfortunately, the Thunder fell short 6-3. This brings the Thunder's season record to 8-7.

Head Coach and General Manager Mark Kulynych wrote that even though that was not the outcome they were hoping for, Razon had a good game.

"The boys came out flat on Friday night against the defending champs, it was almost like we were feeling them out instead of pushing the pace. But one player had his best game of the season, Ethan Razon was all over the ice with some good checks and much better puck patience."

According to Kulynych, he had some really good puck rushes as well and was part of an almost comeback in the 3rd period. He also praised the goalies for their efforts throughout the game.

"Okotoks was a good test for us and showed the group what it takes to win this league. Great for us to see at this stage of the game."

In 11 games played, Razon has six assists. He talked about how he feels like he is playing so far this year.

"The teams getting better as we go on, we're figuring each other out, and the chemistry is getting better."

For himself, he feels like he is stepping it up more as the season goes on. He is trying to make better plays, and hopefully, that leads to more assists or goals.

"I'd like to score a couple more, scoring is always fun. I just like to do what I can for the team and hopefully, we can get a couple more wins under our belt."

He hopes they can make a run, string a few wins together, secure a playoff spot and see what happens there.

The Thunder have two games over the next three days. On Friday the Red Deer Vipers are coming to Airdrie for an 8 p.m. puck drop. On Saturday, The Thunder are travelling to Sylvan Lake to take on the Wranglers.
