A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for all of Southern Manitoba, as heavy snow and very strong wind gusts are expected throughout the day.

According to Environment Canada, northwesterly gusts up to 70 km/h are possible today, with a further 2 to 4cms expected before the flakes taper off. Conditions will begin to improve tonight and overnight into Thursday morning.

The snow will taper off and winds will gradually diminish through Wednesday. Total snowfall accumulations by Wednesday evening will range from 15 to 30 cm, and possibly more over the higher terrain

On your Killarney Tire Road Report, as of 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, the TransCanada remains closed from the Saskatchewan border to Austin. Highway 10 from the junction of Highway 3 north to the junction of Highway 25 is closed. Also closed is Highway 3 from the junction of Highway 18 to the north junction of Highway 21.

All other highways in the region snow and slush covered with fair to poor visibility in blowing snow.
