A snowfall warning has been issued for Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek for tonight and into tomorrow.
For the Grande Prairie region, heavy snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.
Snowfall will begin this afternoon and intensify this evening. The heaviest snow is expected overnight through Saturday morning. Snowfall will ease Saturday afternoon.
For Dawson Creek, precipitation associated with a frontal system are forecast to bring between 10 to 15 cm of snow to the southern part of the southern Peace region this evening and into Saturday morning.
Snow will taper to a few flurries Saturday late morning. In addition, due to gusty winds, there maybe some areas of blowing snow contributing to very poor visibilities.
