Robbery
The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a robbery which took place on November 23rd, 2024, at approximately 10:45pm. Two unidentified males approached a female in the 1800 block of Louise Avenue and assaulted her before taking some of her personal belongings. Assault / Uttering Threats
On November 25th at 1:59PM police were called to a residence on Queens Crescent where a woman was assaulted by her husband who punched her in the side of the head then left but threatened worse when he came home. While police were at the residence the 52-year-old male arrived back home. He was charged with Assault and Uttering Threats. Released on Undertaking for court on December 19th, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On November 25th at 3:16PM staff from a business in the 300 block of 18th Street called reporting they have an intoxicated female at their office who is refusing to leave. Police attended, the female was arrested and brought back to Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells until sober.
Theft Under $5000 X2 / Failure to Comply with Release Order / Failure to Comply Probation X3
On November 25th at 8:22PM a Loss Prevention Officer from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported a male had just stolen approximately $100 worth of merchandise. Police located and arrested the suspect who was still in possession of the stolen items. The 33-year-old male was also in possession of a knife, in breach of his no weapons Release Order and Probation Order conditions. The male was also not to attend the store in which he stole from.
On August 27th the noted was also identified as being responsible for a theft from the same store valued at $34.00. At that time the male was bound by a Probation Order Condition not to attend the store.
The male was arrested on November 25th, held in BPS detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on November 26th, 2025.
Breach of Peace
On November 26th at 1:21AM police were called to a disturbance in the 400 block of Douglas Avenue where an intoxicated male was causing issues. Police attended and a 31-year-old male was arrested and held in detention cells. He will be released once sober.
