A Winnipeg man is dead following a two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon.
On Nov. 25, 2024, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Stonewall RCMP was called to a collision at the intersection of Highway 7 and Road 73 N, located south of Stony Mountain.
When officers arrived to the scene, they learned a collision between a gravel truck and a sanding truck had taken place.
The investigation determined that the sanding truck was travelling westbound on Road 73 N, and entered the intersection when it hit the gravel truck that was going southbound.
The 45-year-old gravel truck male driver from Winnipeg entered the ditch and rolled. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The sanding truck was being driven by a 29-year-old male from the RM of West St. Paul. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Stonewall RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
