In memory of Dustin Pratt, a beloved member of the community who tragically passed away in 2016, the Dustin Pratt Memorial Fund has announced an exciting new initiative: two scholarships for students graduating from Estevan Comprehensive High School in 2025.
Each $1,000 scholarship will support students entering the trades the same year they graduate. The idea, inspired by Dustin’s passion for helping others and his own family’s connection to the trades, marks a meaningful new chapter for the memorial fund.
"This year, we wanted to do something different, something we could carry on year after year," said Roxane Pratt, Dustin’s mother and the fund’s organizer. "Because both of our boys went into trades, we thought we would stick with that—and trades are always needed."
The fund, which has supported countless local causes over the years, raised nearly $9,000 at its annual golf tournament this summer. The tournament has been a cornerstone event for the fund since its inception, helping it give back to the Estevan community in Dustin’s memory.
