The Saskatchewan RCMP say that Jeremy Whitebear has been arrested in relation to the death of 33-year-old Talon Lonethunder from Coronach.
Lonethunder was located deceased in a residence on White Bear First Nation by Carlyle RCMP early on Dec. 3, after they received a report of an injured individual, and his death was considered suspicious.
RCMP then released a statement on Dec. 5 that they were looking for 22-year-old Jeremy Whitebear and 26-year-old Dwayne Maxie, both from White Bear First Nation, in relation to the death of Lonethunder.
Whitebear was arrested on Dec. 7, and was wanted on one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code. He's scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Dec. 9.
As of Dec. 8, Maxie is still being sought by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes for one count, manslaughter, Section 236(a), Criminal Code. They say the public should not approach him, and should call Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP or contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 if they have any information.
Maxie is described as 6'2" tall and 250 lbs with brown eyes and black hair, with RCMP adding that he also goes by the name "Georgie".
