Joseph Bloski
April 22, 1935 – December 21, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Bloski announces his peaceful passing surrounded by family on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was 89 years of age. Joe was born on April 22, 1935, to Harry and Lena (née Lucyk) Bloski in Hazel Dell, SK. He married Marianne Buchacher on October 6, 1959, and he would always reminisce how it snowed on their wedding day. The couple had two children, a son and a daughter. Joe worked most of his life as a carpenter building homes, making cabinets and doing finishing work. He loved to bird hunt with friends and his son, always looking forward to Crane hunting on September 1 each year. He also enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time outside. Joe loved to joke with people and even though he was very ill he still managed to make the Health Care Team members laugh right up to his last day. He was quite the handy man and invented several things out of need. He also enjoyed fixing things and just tinkering with something that needed repair made him happy. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by: his wife of 65 years, Marianne; son Reg of Saskatoon and his family: Terri (Dillon) Shewchuk, their children Jillian and Nicholas - of Martensville, SK; Aaron (Jenna), their children Cooper and Kinsley – of Saskatoon, SK; Jazmine - of Saskatoon, SK and Kole Phillips and partner Jen - of Saskatoon, SK; daughter Donna (Monty) Bloski-Langenhoff and their family: Chelsea (Colby) Genest, their son Jackson- of Saskatoon, SK; sister Anne Tywoniuk- of Edmonton, AB; brothers: Dave (Donna) Bloski- of Spruce Grove, AB, and Marvin (Carol) Bloski - of Edmonton AB; sisters-in-law: Bernice Mechor -of Saskatoon, SK, and Levina Buchacher- of Fort Saskatchewan AB; brothers-in-law Clarence Mechor of- Lac la Biche, AB, and Len Willenborg of- Humboldt, SK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by: his parents Harry and Lena Bloski; sister Bella Thiemann; brothers Ralph and Walter both in infancy; parents-in-law Frank and Mary Buchacher; numerous sisters-in-law, -brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joe's life will be announced later in the summer of 2025.
