It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Elizabeth Hogemann. Marie was born on September 6, 1955, to Maryetta and Russell Stonehouse, she was the first daughter after four sons, later gaining a sister.
Raised on the family farm in D'Arcy, Saskatchewan, during the summer months and in the town of D'Arcy during the winter.  She attended D'Arcy School from Grades 1-4, then Fiske School for Grades 5-8. Her Grade 8 year was especially memorable, as she was taught by her brother, Carl. Marie graduated from Rosetown High School in 1973, and soon after began her career.
Her first job was at the Town Office in Kindersley, followed by a position at CIBC Bank in Saskatoon. She met Garry Oleynick, and they were married in 1977. Together, they moved to Nanaimo, BC, where they were blessed with a son, Nicholas King. A few years later, the family moved back to Kindersley, where Marie worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia and was blessed with a daughter, Amanda Marie.
In the years that followed, Marie’s life took her to Lanigan, where she worked for Poundmaker. After her separation from Garry, Marie found love again and married William (Billy) Hogemann in 2000. The couple lived in St. Gregor, where she worked at Feedrite, and later moved to Weyburn to be closer to their children, Nick and Amanda. While living in Weyburn, Marie worked at Rubicon Pharmacies and Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop before retiring in 2023.

In her free time, she loved spending time with family and friends. She was funny and shared many stories and made many memorable stories! Marie and Billy moved back to Humboldt to be closer to family, where she continued to embrace life with the same joy, determination, and sense of humor that defined her.
