The Lake Lenore Fish Smoker is back this Saturday, offering a smoking good time for all! This beloved annual event, a tradition in the Lake Lenore community, draws large crowds and pulls in an abundance of fresh whitefish from the lake. All the action will take place at the Community Hall, the hub of the festivities.
The fires will be lit early to start smoking the fish, ready for the event's 1:30 p.m. kickoff. Admission and fish are free until the evening dance, where a cover charge will apply. Humboldt’s 40 Oz Philosophy takes the stage for the evening entertainment geared for the adult crowd. The proceeds will benefit both the Community Hall and the Wildlife Federation’s projects, with a special focus on maintaining the dock at Lake Lenore and planning for future endeavors.
The Wildlife Club will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets all day, say organizers. There will also be smokies and a bar available, along with additional raffle chances.
