Saskatchewan’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon presented by CIBC Wood Gundy is BACK live on location at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH) and broadcasting province-wide on November 5th and 6th, 2024.
Over the next two days, listeners from across Saskatchewan will hear heartfelt stories from children, families, and medical professionals at JPCH from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily across 32 radio stations.
Horizon School Division 2024-25 enrolment numbers
The Horizon School Division has announced their current enrolment numbers for students from PreKindergarten to Grade 12.
As of September 30, there are 6,701 students enrolled within the school division. This includes 179 home-school students not otherwise enrolled in a Horizon school.
Horizon School Division School Board elections: Subdivision 2 candidates
Along with Civic elections on Wednesday, November 13, there will also be elections for school boards.
In the Horizon school division, there will be elections in Subdivisions 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9.
There are two candidates in Subdivision 2.
RCMP asking for help to identify suspect in break and enter incident in Manitou Beach
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP are seeking information of a break and enter that happened to a business in Manitou Beach.
The incident occurred sometime between 12:00 am and 1:00 am on August 24. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police are asking the public for information about the suspect. A picture captured from the surveillance footage on the property is located below.
Ituna rink group fined for illegal waste disposal
The Ituna Community Arena Co-operative has been fined $16,800 for discarding or allowing waste to be discarded other than what is permitted under the Environmental Management and Protection Act.
The fine was also for operating a waste disposal ground and engaging in industrial activity without a permit.
Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP seeking information about theft of signs in RM of Humboldt
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP are investigating several incidents of mischief and thefts of traffic signs that occurred within the Rural Municipality (RM) of Humboldt between September of 2024 and October of 2024.
Humboldt seniors honoured by Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism
A pair of Humboldt seniors have received recognition in the Celebrating Seniors Provincial Volunteer Awards.
Two volunteers were nominated by the community for the Awards, Carol Oleksyn and Joan Jackson. Jackson won an Intergenerational Award which is given to a senior who inspires and creates positive interactions between generations.

Human trafficking investigation in Dundurn leads to multiple charges for Quebec man
A 51-year-old man from Quebec is facing several charges from a human trafficking investigation that began in Dundurn conducted by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Human Trafficking and Counter Exploitation Unit (HTCEU), part of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT), and Saskatoon RCMP Detachment.
On Wednesday, October 23, Saskatoon RCMP were dispatched to a business on a report of a kidnapping.

Holy Rosary Parish in LeRoy serves up its annual supper between 4:30 and 6:00 pm at the LeRoy School Gymnasium. The traditional fare of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and the requisite gravy with anchor the feast.
Adults pay $18, youth 13 years and under pay 9, the family rate is $50, and children under 5 are free.
