In Loving Memory Of
Edward Lindsey Seykora
May 22, 1952 – January 6, 2025

Age: 72 Years
Of: Spalding, SK
Passed Away: January 6, 2025

Edward Lindsey Seykora passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Born on May 22, 1952, in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Edward spent his early years in White Fox, where he grew up on the family farm and attended school.

From a young age, Edward embraced the demands of farm life, assisting his father with seeding and harvest. He often spoke fondly of his mother’s dedication to raising eight children and the invaluable lessons of resilience and resourcefulness passed down by his paternal grandfather. Among his treasured memories were the homemade french fries and pies lovingly prepared by his grandmother.

Edward pursued a varied and industrious career, excelling in roles such as tree faller, skidder operator, haul pack driver, cat operator, diamond driller for seismic, carpenter, and grader operator. Renowned for his exceptional carpentry and woodworking skills, Edward’s meticulous craftsmanship left a lasting impression on all who encountered his creations. Though he retired in 2017 after a lifetime of hard work, he continued to dream of building a woodworking shop to fully explore his passion for furniture making.

Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Lynn Seykora (née Erickson), along with many family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories of his warmth, talents, and enduring legacy.

He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Jean; paternal grandparents Louis and Elizabeth; maternal grandmother Elizabeth; sister Bernice; and mother-in-law Phyllis.

May Edward’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A private Celebration of Life for Edward will be held at a later date.
