Manitoba's overall COVID-19 test rates continue to steadily drop. 

Out of Friday's 130 new cases, 80 people are not vaccinated, seven people are partially vaccinated, and 43 people are fully vaccinated.

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 4.7 per cent. There are now a total of 64,209 COVID-19 cases in Manitoba with 1,147 of those being active.

On Friday morning, the province shared, for the first time, test rates for regions other than Winnipeg. On Wednesday, Dr. Jazz Atwal cautioned people that rural rates can vary greatly compared to city rates.

Cases by health region include:

  • 64 in Southern
  • 35 in Winnipeg
  • 12 in Northern
  • 11 in Prairie Mountain
  • eight in Interlake-Eastern

There are 1,147 active cases and 61,806 recoveries.

Hospitalizations

There are 118 people in the hospital including 88 people with active cases. Out of the active cases, 58 people are not vaccinated, 25 are fully vaccinated, and five people are partially vaccinated. 

There are 24 people in intensive care including 19 people with active cases. Out of the active cases, 18 are not vaccinated and the other person is fully vaccinated.

The province says 1,256 people have died with COVID-19, three more than Thursday.
