RCMP in Central Alberta has lifted all tow bans that were previously in place due to extreme weather conditions. While towing services have resumed, road conditions in some areas may still pose challenges for drivers. Authorities are urging motorists to remain cautious.

This update follows the RCMP's travel advisory issued yesterday evening warning of extremely poor driving conditions along the Highway 2 corridor between Edmonton and Calgary.

At the time, a tow ban was implemented for the stretch between Edmonton and Blackfalds as heavy snowfall and icy roads created dangerous travel conditions.

Drivers are reminded to adjust their driving habits to winter road conditions and ensure their vehicles are equipped for cold weather.
