With all the cold weather recently my country cruising has been limited. Yesterday I made up for it by getting on the road for a few hours. I ended up in the hills north of Arcola which was a little tricky at times depending on which road you attempted to go down. I got through a couple small drifts that didn't cause too much attention, but then I came around a curve and immediately knew I was turning around. When you have this thought that quick, you know it's not something you want to take on. Several 4x4's had went through the big drift, but I was in no mood to even try and follow their tracks.
I came across this friendly porcupine who was not afraid of me in any way. "Paul or Paulette the Porcupine" allowed me to take several photos before it made its way over to some brush.
