There are two more COVID-19-related deaths in Manitoba.

On Wednesday the province is confirming 143 new COVID-19 cases. Out of the new cases 84 people are not vaccinated, five people are partially vaccinated, and 54 people are fully vaccinated.

Manitoba's five-day test rate is 6.2 per cent. 

New cases by heath region include:

  • 66 in Southern
  • 33 in Winnipeg
  • 29 in Prairie Mountain
  • 10 in Interlake-Eastern
  • five in Northern

 

There are a total of 65,017 confirmed cases in Manitoba, with 1,457 active cases and 62,292 recoveries.

The province says two more people have died, bringing the total number of deaths to1,268 people.

Hospitalizations

There are 143 people in the hospital because of COVID-19, including 111 active cases. Six of those active cases are people who are partially vaccinated, 49 people are fully vaccinated, and 56 people are not vaccinated.

There are 28 people in intensive care because of COVID-19, including 21 active cases. Eighteen with active cases are not vaccinated, and the other three are fully vaccinated.
