A stolen Ford F150 from rural High River was recently located in NW Calgary, which led to police finding more stolen property.

The Alberta RCMP and the Calgary Police have been investigating a series of break-and-enters in Calgary and 6 RCMP jurisdictions, where people were breaking into dealerships and autobody shops to steal vehicle keys and vehicles.

In total, 18 vehicles were stolen and 15 have been recovered. One male has been identified as the prime suspect.

On February 4, the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, the Olds RCMP, Airdrie RCMP, and the Calgary Police Service conducted a search warrant on a rural property NE Calgary, where 3 vehicles and 2 semi-trailers were recovered.

The three vehicles and two semi-trailers had been reported stolen out of Southern Alberta and B.C.

On Feb. 13, a stolen F150 was located at a residence in NW Calgary, and the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, Airdrie RCMP, and the Calgary Police Tactical Unit conducted a search warrant.

As a result of the search warrant, two more stolen vehicles were recovered by the police and the police found numerous identity documents that are believed to have been stolen or fraudulently produced.

More charges are pending from other RCMP jurisdictions in Southern Alberta.

Robichaud has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 4, 2025.
