A made-in-Alberta show is returning, and they're in need of extras.

The third season of the MGM+ series Billy the Kid will be shooting in the Calgary area from March to July.

Areas of Southern Alberta have stood in for Arizona and New Mexico in the show, including Kananaskis Country, Calgary, and Bragg Creek.

With filming to begin in March, an open casting call is underway.

Betty Tong Casting is calling for actors over the age of 18, though people of Latin American heritage are especially needed, given the show's New Mexico setting.

"Since this is a period piece, we are seeking individuals with natural, timeless looks—no modern hairstyles, visible tattoos, brightly dyed hair, lash extensions, acrylic nails, visible piercings, or other contemporary features. Longer, natural, grown-out hair is preferred. Facial hair is encouraged," reads the casting call.

The call is open to union and non-union performers.

More information on the casting call can be seen on the Betty Tong Casting Facebook page.
