Voters in Transcona will have multiple opportunities to cast their ballots ahead of the provincial byelection, with advance voting set to begin on March 8 and election day scheduled for March 18.
Advance voting locations
Eligible voters can vote at either of the following advance polling locations before election day:
- Transcona Local Election Office (100 Paquin Rd.) – Open daily from March 8 through election day, March 18.
- All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church (1500 Day St.) – Open for advance voting from March 8 to March 15.

Election day voting
On March 18, voters can cast their ballots at any polling location, not just the one listed on their voter information card. Polling place details are available on the Elections Manitoba website.
Absentee and homebound voting
Voters who will be outside the electoral division on election day and during the advance voting period can apply for absentee voting at electionsmanitoba.ca or in person at the local election office. The deadline to apply is March 15 at 8 p.m., though Elections Manitoba encourages early applications to allow time for ballots to be received and returned.
Homebound voting is available for those unable to vote in person due to a disability. Caregivers may also apply. Applications can be submitted online or at the local election office and must be received by 8 p.m. on March 17.
Voting assistance
Elections Manitoba offers several accessibility services, including:
- Language and sign language interpreters (available upon request in advance).
- Braille ballot templates and magnifiers at polling places.
- The option for voters to bring someone to assist them or request help from a voting officer.
- The use of assistive devices, such as smartphone apps, to aid in voting.
