Emergency services respond to vehicle fire on Thatcher Drive Friday morning

Emergency crews were at the scene of a vehicle fire early Friday morning.

Police and fire responded to a vehicle fire in the westbound lane of Thatcher Drive East, in front of Superstore shortly after 9 a.m.

Traffic had been reduced to a single lane in both directions until around 10 a.m. when the vehicle was towed and traffic was able to resume as normal.

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, no one was injured and it is thought to be a mechanical issue and not suspicious in nature.
