The Weyburn Police Service responded 70 calls for service for the week of February 9- February 16 2025,  

Notable incidents during the week include: 

Disturbance:  Feb 10, Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence, Adult male agreed to leave and go stay with a friend, Police provided a ride.  No charges 

Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000.00:  Feb 11, on routine patrol Police stopped a vehicle with an adult female driver who became uncooperative.  Police recognized the driver and found she had a warrant for her arrest, arrested without incident.   Vehicle VIN number checked on Police records it was found to be stolen out of Winkler MB.  Female was charged with possession of stolen property and remanded in custody for a later court appearance.

Breach of Conditions:  Feb 13, Police were conducting a curfew check where they discovered an adult male was not following his release conditions.  Male was later located, arrested and remanded in custody for a further court date as they have numerous past breaches as well.

Flight from Police:  Feb 13, Police observed a truck with a burnt out taillight driving at night, emergency lights activated as to initiate a traffic stop when the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed.  Investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Mischief to Motor Vehicle:  Feb 15, Police were called after an intoxicated male kicked the mirror off a taxi after being given a ride to a local business.   Police located the male he was arrested without incident placed in custody until sober and later released on conditions with a future court date.

Mental Health/ wellbeing Checks:  Police responded to 8 of these occurrences over the week with one incident resulting in an adult male being taken to the Hospital for assessment.  

Reports of Moose reported in City Limits, just a reminder like the deer keep your distance and they will make their way back out of the City.
