Now that the weather is enjoyable enough to spend time outside, several outdoor rinks in Okotoks are closed due to how warm it is.

The Kinsmen Rink at the Okotoks Rec Centre, the rink at JP II, and Suntree Park were closed today (Monday, Feb. 24), due to the warm weather we have been experiencing.

Meanwhile, the rinks at Cedar Grove Park and Sheep River Cove have been closed for some time.

According to the Town of Okotoks, the remaining outdoor rinks and skating trail will be open on a day-to-day decision, which is based on the overnight temperatures and daytime highs.

Currently, each day this week is forecasted to get well above freezing, with it getting up to double digits as of Wednesday.

To stay up to date on whether or not the outdoor rinks in Okotoks are open for skating, head over to the Town of Okotoks website.
